Furthermore, pallets make it easy to move cargo, stack, and fit in racks, use forklifts and pallet jacks while adding a streamlined effect to warehouse shipping systems.
A skid is used as a permanent foundation and a mobility platform for moving heavy products and machinery. It’s a single-deck platform that lacks a bottom deck, resting on pedestals attached to the deck. Therefore, the skid is used mostly for storage.
With all that said, people generally choose to use custom pallets over skids for their shipping and storing needs.
